Today, May 4, was the last day of the pre-Olympic championship of Russia in freestyle wrestling. As a result of today's fights the Olympic composition of the Russian national team was determined, except for weight categories 57,74kg and 86kg.

Leaders of 74kg and 86kg - Zaurbek Sidakov and Artur Naifonov, were released from the Russian Championship because of injuries, and the leader of 57kg - Zavur Uguyev, fought in weight category up to 61kg not to waste energy on weight race, and as a result became the champion of Russia. And who will be in the Olympic line-up in these weight categories will be decided by the qualifying bout between the weight leader and the winner of the tournament.

The opening of the tournament was a young Dagestani - Ibragim Kadiev, who defeated all the weight leaders and became the champion of Russia in the weight category up to 86 kg.
