Midfielder Andranik Teymourian is listed among footballers of Armenian descent who have participated in the FIFA World Cup.

Teymourian was a member of the Iranian national team in two World Cups. He played his first World Cup in 2006 in Germany, and his second in 2014 in Brazil. He played matches against teams such as Argentina, Mexico, Angola, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portugal, and Nigeria.

Andranik was a key midfielder for the club "Esteghlal" and the only Christian in the Iranian national team. The expression "among strangers" fits him perfectly.

He started his professional career at the club "Oghab" and quickly attracted the attention of many football agents. In 2006, he signed a two-year contract with the English club "Bolton". At the "Reebok" stadium, he played many good games, winning the love of many football fans.

Many clubs in the English Premier League showed interest in Andranik Teymourian and wanted to see him in their lineup. In 2008, he moved to "Fulham".

Teymourian enjoyed great love and respect from his national team teammates, and in 2011 he became the captain of the Iranian national team until 2016.

Since 2023, Andranik Teymourian has held the position of assistant coach of the Iranian national team.
